Papers and symposia
Abstract submission process
Those interested in presenting papers or organizing symposia must submit their abstracts before 15 March 2012 to marxpsyconference@gmail.com. The abstracts may be written in English, Spanish or Portuguese, and must include a title and the name(s) of the author(s) of the paper and their affiliation(s). If the paper has multiple authors, then an “author for correspondence” should be identified.
Types of presentation and length of abstracts
Papers (maximum number of words: 400)
Symposia (maximum number of words: 400 for each paper and an additional 400 words overview addressing the coherence of the papers)
Papers
Papers may be presented in English, Spanish or Portuguese. The Organizing Committee will group papers in sets of three papers in 90 minute slots; each paper is allocated 30 minutes including discussion time and the session is chaired by one of the presenters.
Symposia
Symposia occupy 90 minute slots and normally consist of three or four linked individual papers in English, Spanish or Portuguese. The format for the symposia can be in an alternative form such as a workshop or a panel discussion. It is also possible to propose a series of linked symposia. Abstracts that are intended to form a series of symposia may be submitted together or separately with a note to indicate the links to the other symposia. It should be noted that each submission will be reviewed independently.
